Who Are We?

Vanguards Academy, situated in Odosengolu, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, Nigeria, is a distinguished private, faith-based secondary institution established on September 28, 2002. The academy was founded with the vision of creating a model secondary school that seamlessly integrates academic excellence with moral and intellectual development rooted in Islamic principles

Founding and Early Years

The academy began its journey in Isiwo, a picturesque town in Ogun State known for its rolling landscapes and scenic beauty. This initial location provided an environment conducive to learning and personal growth. As the institution expanded, it relocated to its current, more spacious campus in Odosengolu to better accommodate its growing student body and enhance its educational facilities.

Academic and Moral Philosophy

At the heart of Vanguards Academy's philosophy is the commitment to "Education for Life," emphasizing a holistic approach that combines rigorous academic training with the cultivation of strong moral character. The curriculum is designed to foster intellectual supremacy while instilling values of integrity, discipline, and social responsibility, preparing students to excel both academically and ethically in their future endeavors.

Community and Cultural Engagement

Vanguards Academy places a strong emphasis on co-curricular activities that enrich students' educational experiences and promote cultural awareness. Events such as the Heritage/Exhibition Day showcase students' talents and celebrate diverse cultural expressions, including displays by the Young Farmers Club, Yoruba language students, and the Arabic Speakers Club. These activities foster a sense of community and pride among students, encouraging them to explore and appreciate various cultural dimensions.
